Daffodils painted fast. The aim was no hesitation and to cut out the moment between seeing and painting, between thinking and mark-making, to just get the flowers and their energy.

The crimson ground pushes through everywhere, into the shadows, between the stems, around the edges, disrupting and energising. The green of the stems is spring, arriving fast.
