EMANATE FROM HERE, February 2026
Responding to the beauty and energy of the wilderness at Loch Tulla, the reflections of trees into the loch create a nexus in the painting. The pink ground burns through the dark trees and into the water, giving the landscape an inner light, not the light of the sky but something which comes from within the place itself. It is what I saw, and it also works as a metaphor which captures the way I experience this place: somewhere beyond words that takes me outside myself.
