ROUND POT, SQUARE POT, Spril 2026

Two plants I paint often, painted together.

I wanted to practice working on canvas, a surface I find resistant compared to stone paper, and greedy with paint. I have to work harder to get the texture and brushmarks I like.

These two pots sat together and made a natural composition: the geometric tile pattern of one against the plain grey cylinder of the other. The plants themselves a little ragged and unruly.

Acrylic on Canvas, 30 × 40 cm
