SIDE SKETCH [MOVIE NIGHT], January 2026

Painted while watching Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride, sitting behind my most available model. What's ironic is that from this angle, where his face isn't visible, something essential comes through.

I worked on stone paper over a red ground, mixing olive green with titanium white to push the red back and make his form jump forward. For his hair and skin, a celebration of bright colour — green, blue, orange, yellow — letting myself go with the paint. The red ground remains visible throughout, creating warmth, energy and contrast.
