LIVING ROOM, September 2025
People ask me about my studio. The truth is I paint at home. I've got an easel in with the ironing board, paints on a shelf in the kitchen, blank canvases behind the sofa. I don't know how long this will last, but since I'm basically painting my life, I'm not sure a studio would help. Some of the best artists lived and painted in the same space which is encouraging.
This is our living room. Our daughter is reading on the sofa, the dog curled beside her. She volunteered to model (thank you). I wanted to get a feeling of space and light.
The sun was strong that day and kept moving, so I had to capture parts of the room completely and manage the way it all changed.
