ORBAN LOSES PAINTING, April 2026

Painted to mark Orban's defeat in Hungary. The Private Eye cover caught it perfectly, mocking JD Vance and the idea of regime change. 

The third time I've painted Private Eye covers. The others responded to Trump's re-election and the Greenland crisis. It’s a way to bringing politics into the work. 

This one, at least, was good news. A bowl of strawberries, a little light in dark times.
